The David E. I. Pyott Foundation’s $2 million pledge is the largest-ever gift from an individual to the Academy Foundation. The endowment will establish the David E. I. Pyott Glaucoma Education Center on the Academy's ONE® Network.
Mr. Pyott was chairman and CEO of Allergan from 1998 to 2015. He serves on the advisory boards of the Academy Foundation and the American Glaucoma Society Foundation, is president of the International Council of Ophthalmology Foundation, and is a board director at the Pan-American Ophthalmological Foundation.
