Why do I have to have LASIK done after I have had YAG surgery? I had a lens for distance implanted during cataract surgery. After the YAG, my vision is still blurry, and I cannot focus. Now they want to do LASIK. Is this normal?
Yes, if the target was not hit with your lens implant to begin with, it is typical to perform the YAG to see if it changes the vision. If not, then LASIK is an excellent way to fine tune the final result.
