  • Will my IOL correct my crossed eye?


    Question:

    I wear glasses and contacts to correct my crossed eye. If I get lens replacement surgery, will the lenses correct my hyperopia (farsightedness) and keep my eye straight?


    Answer:

    There is no way to tell without your ophthalmologist measuring this prior to doing any surgery. You may need to see a strabismus (eye muscle) specialist to evaluate this.
