We Write the Measures: How the Academy Helps Ophthalmologists Succeed in Quality Reporting
The Academy has a longstanding commitment to quality improvement — and to ensuring federal programs don’t unduly burden our members. In 2014, we launched the groundbreaking American Academy of Ophthalmology IRIS® Registry clinical database to help members assess and improve their own patient care and more easily report for federal programs like PQRS. We’ve also developed an ongoing group of measures to help ophthalmologists evaluate and improve patient outcomes and quality of care throughout their career.
