    Suprachoroidal Buckling

    01:42
    Retina/Vitreous

Drs. Rehman Siddiqui and Hina Qazi demonstrate a suprachoroidal buckling technique in which a filler material (Provisc) is injected into the suprachoroidal space using a 30-gauge tuberculin syringe, displacing the choroid towards the retina and creating a buckle-like effect. Other surgeons have alternatively used a 23-gauge suprachoroidal canula for this procedure. No additional sclerotomy or suturing is required. After fluid–air exchange, the peripheral break is sealed using argon laser treatment.

Financial Disclosures: Dr. M. A. Rehman Siddiqui discloses a financial relationship with A-Eye Diagnostics (CEO). Dr. Hina Qazi discloses no financial relationships.
