Accommodating IOLs, Single- and Dual-Optic: Do They Work?

Dr. George Beiko compares outcomes from a series of accommodating lenses to determine whether any provides an advantage over nonaccommodating IOLs. Dual-optic IOLs, such as the Synchrony, do seem to provide improved, full range of vision after bilateral implantation.
