    Scleral Tattoo Gone Wrong

    A 24-year-old male presented with severe vision loss 3 days after a scleral tattoo procedure. Surgical management by pars plans vitrectomy revealed significant intraocular tattoo ink.  Despite the multiple surgical and antibiotic interventions for endophthalmitis, the eye was eventually enucleated due to intractable pain. Histopathological evaluations confirmed the presence of tattoo ink in the inner retina and the corneal endothelium.
