I am considering cataract surgery with a monofocal lens for clear distance vision. I've worn eyeglasses for years, and I like the protection from brush, bugs and limbs when outdoors. Will it cause problems to continue wearing non-prescription glasses for eye protection after the surgery?
There should be no problem with non-prescription protective eyewear after cataract surgery. In fact, protective eyewear (safety glasses) is strongly recommended for any activity in which there is risk of objects or debris striking the eye.
