Academy Urges CMS to Remove Burdens to EHR Participation
Reducing burdens for physicians participating in the Electronic Health Record Meaningful Use program was the focus of a meeting this week with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Academy member David Glasser, MD, chair of the Academy’s Health Policy Committee, and Academy staff met with the agency to discuss its plans to roll out a new set of rules this spring that would increase flexibility for physicians striving to demonstrate meaningful use.
