Claims Reporting Success Threatened by Suppressed Ophthalmic Claims Measures for 2021 MIPS
After the Academy alerted the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) about an issue that resulted in rejected Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) claims for ophthalmology practices, CMS announced it will suppress Medicare Part B claims-based submissions for two key ophthalmic measures for the 2021 performance period.
