MedPAC Mulls Least-Costly Drug Payment Policy

The Medicare Payment Advisory Commission returned this week to the subject of restricting payments for Part B drugs. The session focused on ways to resume a least costly alternative payment policy like the one suspended in 2010. MedPAC did not formally decide to recommend that Congress pursue legislation to restore a least-costly payment policy.
