New CMS Reports Give Physicians Preview of their Value-Based Modifier Adjustments

Newly released reports on 2013 physician performance give the first clue to what penalties or bonuses doctors may face under the value-based modifier. The value-based modifier is a new payment adjustment based on the individual physicians’ cost and quality that will impact all physicians based on their performance beginning on Jan. 1, 2015.
