    If you are an ophthalmology resident or currently in a fellowship in the United States, the American Academy of Ophthalmology encourages you to take advantage of the phenomenal online publishing opportunity EyeWiki provides. Four residents and/or fellows can win all-expenses-paid trips to the Academy’s Mid-Year Forum 2017 in Washington, DC, April 26-29.

    Contribute to EyeWiki before Dec. 1, 2016, for a chance to win a trip to the Academy’s Mid-Year Forum 2017. Simply write and submit a high quality EyeWiki page in any of the following areas, and add your entry to the discussion page to be entered into the competition:

    When Vit Hits the Fan: The YO Surgical Video Competition

    Everyone has had complications in surgery, some more gut-wrenching than others. The key is how you deal with it. So, how do YOU manage your surgical complications? Submit a video of a complication and how you handled it. The top three winners will be awarded awesome prizes and have the opportunity to present their videos at the YO Program at AAO 2016 in Chicago on Sunday, October 16.

    • 1st place: iPad Pro
    • 2nd place: $500 Academy Voucher
    • 3rd place: $250 Academy Voucher

    Rules of Entry

    Review the Video Submission Guidelines before entering.

    In the Notes field of your submission, indicate your year in training or graduation date, and your program of training.

    Eligibility

    The contest is open to members in training and those within their first 5 years of practice.
