    Canal Stenting

    Glaucoma Subspecialty Day 2017
    07:20
    Glaucoma, Surgical Management

In this lecture, Dr. Paul Harasymowycz describes how to carefully select patients for canal surgery; patients with open angles and concurrent cataracts can benefit from combined surgery. The selection process requires physicians to know anatomic angle landmarks, performing gonioscopy before and after surgery. It is important have good visualization of the angle during surgery as well. Two-year clinical trials have demonstrated that successful combined surgery can reduce IOP and medication usage.
