Cataract/Anterior Segment
An endoilluminator is conventionally used in vitreoretinal surgeries, but its utility in anterior segment interventions is under-recognized. It is indeed a useful tool in examining the anterior segment and performing anterior segment surgeries such as cataract and Descemet stripping endothelial keratoplasty/Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty in the presence of corneal haze or with poor visibility of the anterior chamber.
