This video demonstrates a novel surgical technique that prevents IOL iris capture, tilting, and decentraion during IOL scleral fixation. The safety barricade H technique makes 2 parallel threads with temporary haptic externalization through the corneal incision. The parallel 10-0 prolene sutures act like a safety barricade, and these prevent instability of the IOL. This surgical technique minimizes lens-induced astigmatism and provides better visual quality due to the stable position of the IOL.
