Dr. Amar Agarwal demonstrates a pinhole pupilloplasty in a patient with severe astigmatism. Pinhole pupilloplasty, or PPP, can be performed as an alternative to the pinhole implant in cases of high astigmatism, such as corneal injuries, scarred corneas, keratoconus or complications from penetrating keratoplasty. The procedure creates a pinhole pupil via single-pass 4-throw pupilloplasty, cerclage, Siepsers, McCannel or any pupilloplasty technique the surgeon prefers.
