Dr. Shakeel Shareef demonstrates a minimally invasive repair of a cyclodialysis cleft. The patient was referred 3 years after a brass knuckle injury, having failed to respond to cycloplegia and cryotherapy. He suffered from hypotony for 36 months. Dr. Shareef has used this technique in several patients who have achieved excellent visual acuity despite long-standing hypotony. He concludes that it is a definitive repair for a cyclodialysis cleft 3 clock hours or greater. This video won Best of Show at the 2013 American Glaucoma Society Annual Meeting.
