    Trocar Assisted Iridodialysis Repair

Entrapment of corneal tissue is often observed while maneuvering the suture needle through paracentesis incision during an iris repair procedure that often results in failure of the suture loop to slide inside the anterior chamber. In the trocar-assisted method of nonappositional repair of iridodialysis, the lumen of the cannula works as a guide to introduce the needle, thereby preventing any accidental entrapment of corneal fibers into the needle. Additionally, the trocar-assisted method allows performing iridodialysis repair in technically challenging situations by directing the needle appropriately and preventing any undulating movement inside the anterior chamber.
