A single-piece IOL was implanted in the sulcus of a 21-mm eye, but pigment dispersion and worsening glaucoma was then noted. Since the patient had a prior small YAG capsulotomy, Dr. Morgan Micheletti used a femtosecond laser to create a new capsulotomy for planned optic capture of a new 3-piece IOL, in order to allow the optic to sit in a more physiologic and anatomically correct position.
