Keratometric/corneal astigmatism is commonly found in aphakic patients. In the United States, none of the currently described scleral fixation techniques or anterior chamber lenses allow for the concurrent correction of astigmatism with IOL-based surgery. The Envista toric (MX60T) IOL is used by many surgeons for surgical correction of astigmatism at the time of standard cataract surgery and is readily available. In this 1-Minute Video, Drs. Andrew Hou, David Murphy and Kamran Riaz demonstrate GoreTex fixation of a modified toric IOL.
