I See Double After My Cataract Surgery

    AAO 2015

Fixation switch diplopia should be suspected in patients with a history of childhood strabismus or amblyopia who become diplopic after an intervention forces them to switch fixation to their previously amblyopic eye. Treatment typically involves restoration of fixation with the previously dominant eye using optical or surgical means. In cases with coexistent strabismus, prisms can also be used as a short-term solution if necessary.
