Dr. Flaxel is an associate professor of Ophthalmology at the Casey Eyes Institute, Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon. She received her medical degree from OHSU and completed fellowships in Retina at both West Virginia University and Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, England. Dr. Flaxel’s clinical research interests include age-related macular degeneration and other diseases associated with retinal and choroidal neovascularization (e.g., diabetic retinopathy).
