  • Dr. Wallace is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and Pediatrics at the Duke University School of Medicine. His primary research interests are retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), amblyopia, and clinical trials.  He is the principal investigator for an NIH-sponsored study of the predictive value of abnormal dilation and tortuosity of retinal blood vessels in premature infants, and he has a particular interest in computer-assisted diagnosis of plus disease.  He serves on the Executive Committees of the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group and the Early Treatment for Retinopathy of Prematurity Study Group. Dr. Wallace is Vice-Chair of the AAO's Ophthalmic Knowledge Base Panel for Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus, and he serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of AAPOS.
