  • Dr. Medeiros is an assistant professor of Ophthalmology at the Hamilton Glaucoma Center, University of California, San Diego. His research interests include imaging of the optic disc and retinal nerve fiber layer, development of new methods for early detection of glaucoma, and elucidation of potential risk factors for development and progression of glaucoma. Dr. Medeiros has published several peer-reviewed manuscripts in major ophthalmology journals and has co-authored two books on optic disc and visual field examination in glaucoma. One of his manuscripts was selected by leading clinical ophthalmology journals for presentation in the Editor’s Choice Symposium at the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO). He is an associate member of the advisory board for the Association of International Glaucoma Societies (AIGS) and a member of the Latin American Glaucoma Society and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO).
