  • Dr. Costello is currently an assistant professor at the University of Ottawa, where she runs a busy clinical practice with a special interest in neuro-ophthalmology and multiple sclerosis. After completing her medical school and neurology residency training at Memorial University of Newfoundland, she embarked on a 2-year neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She focuses her research on disorders of the optic nerve and has received financial support from an E. A. Baker grant administered by the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. Dr. Costello has published in numerous peer reviewed journals, and she has presented her research at the national and international level.
