  • Dr. Trese received his medical degree from Georgetown University in 1976 and completed his residency at the Jules Stein Eye Institute of the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). He subsequently obtained a vitreoretinal fellowship at Duke University. Prior to joining Associated Retinal Consultants in 1982, Dr. Trese served as director of vitreoretinal surgery at the University of Kansas. He is currently clinical professor of Biomedical Sciences at Oakland University, clinical associate professor at Wayne State University's School of Medicine, and chief of pediatric and adult vitreoretinal surgery at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Dr. Trese is an internationally recognized expert in retinopathy of prematurity and pediatric vitreoretinal diseases.
