  • Dr Roshmi Gupta completed her basic medical education from Calcutta Medical College, Calcutta, India. She went on to a residency in ophthalmology and then a fellowship at LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad India, where she specialized in oculoplasty and ocular oncology in 2004. She then joined Narayana Nethralaya, a superspeciality eye hospital in Bangalore, Karnataka, to plan and set up the oculoplasty service; the service developed into the largest in the state within two years. She qualified as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow, in 2006.She has presented extensively at national and international fora, and has special interest in producing instruction videos in oculoplasty. She has recently completed a further short clinical fellowship in oculoplasty at the John Moran Eye Center, University of Utah. Her next challenge is the planning and setting up of the oculoplasty service at the new hospital of LV Prasad Eye Institute at Vizag, India.
