  • Dr. Nehls is an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin's Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences in Madison. She specializes in the areas of cornea and external disease, refractive surgery, and uveitis. Dr. Nehls graduated from the University of Wisconsin Medical School, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her residency training at the University of California at Los Angeles's (UCLA) Jules Stein Eye Institute. A fellowship in cornea, refractive surgery, and uveitis at the University of California San Francisco's (UCSF) Francis I. Proctor Foundation followed. She is currently the director of refractive surgery for the University of Wisconsin.
