  • Dr. Lin, a glaucoma specialist, is an associate professor of medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. His major area of laboratory research is the study of fetal trabecular meshwork cell transplantation for the treatment of glaucoma.

    Dr. Lin received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed a glaucoma fellowship and his ophthalmology residency at USCF, where he serves as residency director of ophthalmology. He is also director of the glaucoma service at San Francisco General Hospital.

    Dr. Lin has given dozens of invited lectures and presentations internationally and participates on university committees and in community health screenings and other public service work. He has published many peer-reviewed journal articles, abstracts, and book chapters.

    Among other honors, Dr. Lin has received the Heed Fellowship Award, American Glaucoma Society Clinician-Scientist Award, the Glaucoma Foundation Clinician-Scientist Award, and the UCSF Kimura Resident Teaching Excellence Award.
