Victoria Chang, BS, is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine and is working full time this year with Dr. Sonia H. Yoo at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. Chang earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Miami and was awarded the Bowman Foster Ashe Scholarship before being accepted into the Miller School of Medicine Honors Program. She is an active participant in the school's Department of Community Service, a student-run outreach program for underserved South Florida communities. Chang was selected as an American Cancer Society, John J. Froman Memorial Summer Research fellow in 2006. She plans to pursue a career in ophthalmology and academic medicine.
