Conjunctival Cautery for Conjunctivochalasis

Treatment of conjunctivochalasis has traditionally involved resection of the redundant conjunctiva and suturing of the defect. In this video, Dr. Richard Allen demonstrates the use of high-temperature thermal cautery to apply a diffuse superficial injury to the area of the redundant conjunctiva. This is a quick, cost-effective procedure which requires minimal instrumentation.
