Handling the Posterior Capsule Plaque with a 26 G Needle

In this routine Phacoemulsification of a soft cataract, a dense posterior plaque was present on the posterior capsule. It did not come with polishing or vacuum aspiration. Here the surgeon uses a bent 26 G needle to raise the plaque off the posterior capsule and slowly peel it off with the help of a paediatric rhexis forceps.
