Implantation First in Subluxated Lenses

Dr. Ahmed Mostafa Abdelrahman shows a novel approach to deal with soft subluxated lenses with a surgical indication. The initial step of the technique is the insertion of the multipiece IOL, followed by the haptic fixation, and finally lensectomy with anterior vitrectomy. This sequence guarantees implantation in a pressurized globe and uses the subluxated lens as a scaffold for the IOL during its implantation.
