    Iridodialysis: A Novel Approach

    9th Annual Global Video Contest

    Cataract/Anterior Segment, Trauma

A 65-year-old female presenting with blurred and diminished vision was found to have a trauma-induced 180° iridodialysis. Ninth Annual Global Video Contest 3rd place winner Dr. Ashwin Agarwal managed this challenging defect by first performing a conjunctival peritomy followed by an anterior vitrectomy. He then placed a glued IOL and did a 2-fold iridodialysis repair that used the Hangback technique followed by a single-pass, 4-throw pupilloplasty to reconstruct the pupil.
