Prospective Trial for Radiation Retinopathy

Radiation retinopathy is common post-radiation, but data about this condition is fragmented and very little is known about the best way to treat it. In this interview with Dr. Lauren Dalvin, Dr. Arun Singh provides an overview of an upcoming, prospective, randomized, multicenter trial evaluating the 3-year outcomes of treatment for radiation retinopathy using long-acting steroid vs repeated anti-VEGF injections. The study is the first of its kind and aims to uncover more details about the history of radiation retinopathy and provide guidance on effective treatment protocols in order to maximize patient quality of life.
