Visual Field Loss and Crash Risk: A Population-Based Study

Dr. Siobhan Manners discusses the research she conducted on the links between visual field loss and car crash risk in her home state of Western Australia. Findings from this research were presented at AAO 2023. A key finding was that people with severe binocular vision loss had up to a 98% greater risk of having a car crash, even if they were legally allowed to drive.
