Diagnose This Question Submission Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in Diagnose This. This weekly challenge consists of a brief patient scenario, question, and explanation. Here are 3 examples to illustrate our format:

Question Text
Describe the patient and clinical situation in a few sentences or less. Conclude with a question, such as the following:
- What is the most likely diagnosis, cause, complication?
- What procedure, test, treatment is most appropriate?
Additional guidelines:
- Questions should end in a question mark.
- Phrase questions positively—no “which is NOT the best approach …,” “all are true except …,” etc.
- No true/false questions.
- Ask for a single, specific answer—no "which of the following statements describes …"

Please provide 1 correct and 3 incorrect answers for your question.
Additional guidelines:
- Answers should be of parallel type (eg, all choices are tests, treatments, symptoms, diagnoses).
- Be as brief as possible.
- Answers should be balanced in plausibility, length, and amount of detail.
- Do not use “all of the above,” “none of the above," etc.
- Avoid mutually exclusive responses.
Discussion
In the first paragraph, explain why the correct answer is correct. In subsequent paragraph(s), explain why each incorrect answer is incorrect. (Maximum word count: 300.)
