    Training Opportunity: Vitroretinal Fellowship

    Focus:
    Description: The program is planned to take 18 months. However, considering the capabilities and skills of the applicant, ascertained by the Retina Service interviewing board, a preparation period of maximum six months, may apply prior to the beginning of the fellowship program to familiarize the candidate with hospital facilities and help him/ her gain the necessary skills to begin with main fellowship program. The fellow will gain ability in the diagnosis of diseases of the retina, vitreous, and choroid. Additionally, he/she will be able to perform surgical, medical, and laser treatment of retinal and choroidal diseases. As a researcher, the fellow will be able to critically appraise clinical and scientific publications, and successfully carry out a research project that can be presented at national or international meetings and published in a peer-reviewed journal.
