In this video presentation we will demonstrate the sequence of closure of the retinal layers in the postoperative en face OCT of patients who underwent repair of large stage 3 and 4 macular holes by the modified macular plug technique. Closure occurred sequentially from the inner to the outer retinal layers. Restoration of the outer retinal integrity occurred within the first postoperative month. Persistent internal limiting membrane flaps were observed in up to 12 months follow-up.
