In this clinical video, Dr. Larry Puthenparambil demonstrates removal of a 30-year-old scleral buckle, which extruded likely because the surgeon did not place the buckle underneath the rectus muscles. He begins by making a conjunctival dissection to search for the sleeve. After it is located, the band is easily removed.
