In this surgical video, Drs. Matthew Starr and Sunir Garg manage a difficult full thickness macular hole with overlying lamellar hole epiretinal proliferation (LHEP) in a patient with macular telangiectasia type 2. They fashioned a flap of both the LHEP material and internal limiting membranes (ILM) and placed them both over the hole. The patient's macular hole successfully closed and there was a significant improvement in visual acuity.
