In this clinical video, Drs. Alia Durrani and Shriji Patel describe a patient who presented with abrupt visual decline after prior complex retinal detachment repair with silicone oil instillation and removal. The patient had been doing well for several months prior to her most recent presentation. A large macular stretch hole was visualized, with diffuse tractional elements surrounding the hole and a posterior retinal detachment. Tractional elements were peeled, and silicone oil was replaced. The retina remained attached at her 1-month postoperative visit.
