Dr. John Kanellopoulos demonstrates how he manages retained cortex in a case of a 72-year-old patient with vitreous loss after cataract surgery. He inserts a trocar and irrigation system prior to proceeding with a 25-gauge vitrectomy to remove the retained cortex. At 1-month postop, an additional YAG laser vitreolysis is performed to manage some remaining vitreous bands.
