    Drs. Joseph Fong and Ahmed Sallam demonstrate how to use retro-illumination to facilitate the removal of cataract in the presence of vitreous hemorrhage. In these cases, combined cataract and pars plan vitrectomy surgery is often performed. However, the absence of the red reflex still makes the cataract part of the surgery very challenging.
