Early Avastin treatment for CRVO can produce good outcomes

This retrospective evaluation of six patients treated with four to 10 injections over one year shows patients experienced a dramatic improvement in visual acuity and fundus appearance, without collateral vessel formation. Treated patients also experienced clearance of retinal hemorrhages, decreased optic disk swelling, decreased venous dilation and decreased tortuosity - all beginning quickly after injection.
