    DSAEK in ICE Syndrome

    YO Video Competition
    01:27
    Cataract/Anterior Segment, Cornea/External Disease

In this winning Best-Member-in-Training video from the 2023 YO Video Competition, a 66-year-old female with iridocorneal endothelial (ICE) syndrome and blurriness in the left eye was found to have iridocorneal adhesions, corneal edema, and a cataract. Synechiolysis was performed with viscoelastic prior to cataract extraction and implantation of a DSAEK graft, with paracentral stab incisions used toward the end of the surgery to remove excess viscoelastic from under the graft. The graft was ultimately well-apposed and well-centered, with improving vision at postoperative week one.
