This sixth segment of the American Society of Ophthalmic Trauma (ASOT) "Sports-Related Ocular Trauma" Symposium from AAO 2023 by Dr. Phoebe Lenhart provides some perspective on sports-related ocular trauma in children. Dr. Lenhart discusses the most responsible sports and provides examples from her own practice of common types of injuries. She also provides recommendations for prevention, stressing the importance of promoting changes in behaviors at the base of the pyramid to minimize ocular trauma–related issues later in life.
