  • Dr. Jay J. Meyer is a fellow in cornea, external disease and refractive surgery at Duke University Eye Center in Durham, N.C. He received his medical degree and master of public health degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City, and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

    He is the author of numerous peer-reviewed articles, has given presentations at ophthalmology meetings, and has received multiple awards for his research. He also has served as resident director of community outreach for the University of North Carolina department of ophthalmology, coordinating residency volunteer efforts, and participated in community vision screenings for the Lions Club Vision Van, among other activities.
