Simon Taylor received his medical degree from Cambridge University and subsequently trained in ophthalmology at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. He is currently an honorary clinical lecturer at University College, London, and a clinical research fellow at Moorfields Eye Hospital and at the MRC Clinical Sciences Centre at the Hammersmith Hospital, London.
